Pre-referral work-up
History
All referrals should comply to the outpatient information for clinicians page, referral standards and include in particular:
- Whether bilateral/unilateral
- Recent changes or chronic
- Surgery
- Injury
- Testicular abnormality
- Epididymal abnormality including cord or vas abnormality
- Scrotal abnormality including hydrocele
- Penis abnormality
Tests
- Testicular abnormality
- Testicular/scrotal USS
- Epididymal abnormality
- Testiscular/scrotal USS

Urgent (Category 1)
Refer urgently if intra-testicular mass is present
Urgent referrals should be accompanied by a phone call to the Consultant/Registrar to organise urgent review.
We will endeavour to see these patients within four weeks, or sooner if clinically indicated.
