Referral process
Clients who self-refer can make an appointment by calling one of the clinics.
Referrals aren't essential, but referral for complex issues is desirable. Please fax to the appropriate clinic. A current list of medications and relevant past history and recent care is helpful including any mental health comorbidities.
A number of appointments may be required and linkage with a General Practitioner (GP) is recommended.
At the time of consultation, test requirements will be identified.
Where available, eReferral via HealthLink smart forms is now the preferred and only secure method of referral to the Tasmanian Department of Health.
