Pre-referral work-up
History
Referral is not essential, but all referrals should comply with the referral standards and specifically include:
- details of the condition including duration and onset
- past treatments and response
- allergies
- current medications
Tests
Copies of all investigations undertaken to make the diagnosis
- HIV test - confirmed HIV Ab/Ag test
- FBE
- Hepatitis serology, syphilis and other STI testing
- other tests as discussed with the Sexual Health Service
