Pre-referral work-up
History
All referrals should comply to the referral standards and include in particular:
- Irritative, voiding
- Capacity issues
- Pain and analgesic requirements
- Past urological surgery
- Any gross macroscopic haematuria
- Microscopic haematuria
Tests
- MSU
- Urine cytology
- U&E's
- Creatinine, calcium, uric acid, phosphorous
- eGFr
- Urine cytology
- Coagulation studies (if on anticoagulant therapy)
- Ultrasound of urinary tract, KUB
- Consider IVP/CT
