Pre-referral work-up

History

All referrals should comply with referral standards and specifically include:

• Reason for performing PSA initially (screening, symptoms, family history),
• Urological symptoms
• Bony pain
• Weight loss
• Haematuria
• Rectal examination findings

Tests

• PSA on 2 or more interval specimens
• FBE + ESR
• U&Es
• MSU
• USS of Renal tract
