Pre-referral work-up

History

All referrals should comply to the outpatient information for clinicians page, referral standards and include in particular:

• Whether bilateral/unilateral
• Recent changes or chronic
• Surgery
• Injury
• Testicular abnormality
• Epididymal abnormality including cord or vas abnormality
• Scrotal abnormality including hydrocele
• Penis abnormality

• Testicular abnormality
  • Testicular/scrotal USS
• Epididymal abnormality
  • Testiscular/scrotal USS

Urgent (Category 1)

Refer urgently if intra-testicular mass is present

Urgent referrals should be accompanied by a phone call to the Consultant/Registrar to organise urgent review.

We will endeavour to see these patients within four weeks, or sooner if clinically indicated.
