Pre-referral work-up
History
All referrals should comply to the referral standards and also include:
- Recent changes in skin contour
- Recent changes in colour
- Areas of Peau d'Orange
- Clinical examination - good description of changes
Tests
- Mammography if over 35 or under 35 with lump
- Ultrasound if under 35 or as appropriate
- Needle biopsy if suspicious clinical or imaging findings
