Change in Breast Skin Contour

This condition is treated in the Breast surgery clinic.

Pre-referral work-up

History

All referrals should comply to the referral standards and also include:

• Recent changes in skin contour
• Recent changes in colour
• Areas of Peau d'Orange
• Clinical examination - good description of changes

Tests

• Mammography if over 35 or under 35 with lump
• Ultrasound if under 35 or as appropriate
• Needle biopsy if suspicious clinical or imaging findings
