Pre-referral work-up

History

All referrals should comply to the referral standards and also include:

• New or severe changes
• Nipple distortion
• Nipple eczema
• Nipple retraction
• Clinical examination - good description of changes

Tests

• Mammography if over 35 or under 35 with lump
• Ultrasound
• Consider swab or skin biopsy
