Pre-referral work-up
History
All referrals should comply to the Standard Referral guidelines and include in particular:
- Duration of condition
- Pain or no pain
- Details of cranial nerve examination
- Any history of ptosis or pupil change
- Eye movement examination
- History of thyroid or neurological disease
Tests
- Ophthalmologist or optometrist report when available
