Pre-referral work-up
History
When to refer to a specialist:
- Diagnostic uncertainty
- Acute erythroderma or generalized pustular psoriasis or acute unstable psoriasis
- Difficult to treat sites that are unresponsive to initial therapy
- That is unresponsive to /or adverse reactions to topical therapies in standard doses for two to three months or escalating need for topical steroids
- Causing major physical and/or psychological disability
