Pre-referral work-up
History
Tasmanian Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit (TACFU) coordinates the care of adult patients with proven cystic fibrosis and will assess those individuals with suspected cystic fibrosis.

Cystic Fibrosis Clinics are held at Wellington Clinics and the Telstra Building, Level 5, 70 Collins Street, Hobart.
TACFU is a multidisciplinary unit and co-ordinates the care with physicians and other allied health staff.

Newly diagnosed cystic fibrosis
Suspected but undiagnosed cystic fibrosis
Patients with known cystic fibrosis
We will endeavour to see these patients within four weeks.
Patients with suspected lung cancer will be seen within one week.
Urgent referrals should be accompanied by a phone call to the Respiratory Department and/or the relevant doctor for urgent assessment.
