This condition is treated in the Orthopaedic surgery clinic.

Pre-referral work-up

History

All referrals should comply with referral standards and specifically include:

Including acute knee injuries 

• Patella dislocation
• Locked meniscal tear
• Ligament injuries

Tests

For urgent review within one month of injury

• X-ray

Non operative treatment initially:

• RICE
• Physiotherapy
• Bracing for complete collateral injury
