Pre-referral work-up

History

All referrals should comply with referral standards and include in particular:

• History of condition
• Details of the symptoms that suggest a diagnosis of endometriosis
• Details of past management, if previously diagnosed - especially if confirmed laparoscopically

Tests

Transvaginal Ultrasound

Please ask for specific findings on scan depending on presenting symptoms for example? endometriosis? tender ovaries? mobile ovaries? adenomyosis? bowel involvement?
