Get the Most out of Life program
What is Get the Most out of Life program?
A six-week program – for 2½ hours per week. It is run in small groups of 10 to 15 people with two trained leaders.
The program is delivered in towns across North West and Southern Tasmania.
Who is it for?
The program is for anyone living with an ongoing chronic condition or is caring for someone who is. For example: heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, depression, asthma, emphysema, and other physical and mental health conditions.
Self management skills can be useful for everyone.
What is the program about?
The Get the Most Out of Life Program is a fun and practical way to learn how to overcome daily challenges and maintain an active and fulfilling life while living with chronic health conditions.
What can you learn?
- How to manage your symptoms
- How to get started with healthy eating and exercise
- How to communicate effectively with your doctor and healthcare team
- How to manage difficult emotions
- How to make daily tasks easier
- How to get more out of life
Each participant will be loaned a book to take home and use for the 6 weeks of the program: “Living a Healthy Life With Chronic Conditions”.
What does it cost?
A gold coin donation each week to cover cost of refreshments.
Where do the programs run?
Programs are delivered in towns across North West and Southern Tasmania. We can also run them online.
