At your telehealth appointment
The video appointment is like a face-to-face appointment, where you will be able to talk to the clinician on a television screen, as if you were talking to them in person.
You may decide to have a family member or friend with you for support.
If you are having the appointment at home, you will receive an email which will have the following:
- Appointment date and time.
- Weblink to join the video appointment. The weblink becomes active 10 minutes before the appointment.

Technology and Connection
You will need a smart device such as PC, MAC, Laptop, Tablet or Smartphone with a webcam, microphone and speakers.
A good internet connection is the most important requirement for your video appointment. Please make sure that other applications are closed, such as video streaming or gaming. This will help to improve your connection.
It is recommended to use headphones if you are using a Smartphone or Tablet.
You will be provided with a link to join the video appointment, and it's recommended before your appointment to do a test call to test the connection. If you experience any technical issues contact Telehealth Tasmania on 1300 027 894 or [email protected].
