After your diagnosis of breast cancer, a Breast Cancer Nurse is available to support you and your family or carer when making informed decisions about your surgery, treatment and ongoing care.

- Provide care and support as required before and after surgery.
- Provide information on well-being and support programs or connect you with support groups.
- Refer to other health care providers if required (eg. Physiotherapists, counsellors).
- Organise soft breast prosthesis when required.
- Liaise with your doctor and treatment team to ensure you receive the best possible care.
- Provide care and support as required while you receive chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment.
A Breast Cancer Nurse can provide a consistent source of information, care and emotional support throughout your breast cancer experience and beyond.
