Each of the 3 sites of the Northern Cancer Service (W.P Holman Clinic, North West Cancer Centre and the Mersey Oncology - Medical Day Procedure Unit) provides some treatments for people who do not have cancer. Other services we provide include:
- Apheresis (W.P. Holman Clinic)
- Venesections
- Iron infusions
- Vascular Access Device (VAD) maintenance
- Blood products
- Monoclonal therapy
- Immunoglobulin support
It is important to understand what sort of treatment you are having and why. If you have any concerns about your diagnosis or are unsure why you have been referred to our service, please speak to your regular specialist or GP.
You will still require a referral from a specialist to receive treatment at our service, or if your GP is referring you, you will still require a referral to one of our specialist doctors to receive treatment, for example, a haematologist.
