Oral health service careers
Oral Health Services Tasmania
Oral Health Services Tasmania (OHST) is the State’s public dental service. We are a close-knit group of oral health professionals, a mixture of locals and new Tasmanian adventurers.
Who we are and what we do
State-wide, we have approximately 350 team members supporting the delivery of care to over 50,000 patients a year. Our Dental Officers, Dental Therapists/Oral Health Therapists and Dental Prosthetists provide triaged emergency care, general care and denture care for eligible adults and all children up to the age of 18 years.
We work across major centres and community dental clinics, providing contemporary evidence-informed practise. Our team is dedicated to addressing disparities in oral health care access with targeted outreach programs (such as our Fissure Sealant and Fluoride Varnish and Maternity Services Programs) included as part of our core business.
OHST has 33 clinics statewide, including 3 Special Care Dental Units situated within hospitals. Our service is committed to quality improvement and innovation. We boast 2 OPG machines, cutting-edge digital denture technology and a dental microscope.
