2024-25 Service Agreements and Memorandum’s of Understanding
Thank you to all those who have returned their 2024-25 Service Agreements and Memorandum’s of Understanding (MoU’s). There are some that have not yet been returned and are now overdue.
If you have not yet sent in your agreement/MoU, please do so no later than Friday 13 September 2024.
TAZREACH will also aim to reach out to all those with outstanding agreements/MoU’s this week.
Child Safety Training
As some of you have noticed there is a new requirement in service agreements that all staff involved with the delivery of outreach clinicians must complete child safety training.
The child safety training requirement stems from the Child and Youth Safe Organisations Act (2023). For the Department to be compliant with the Act, all subcontracts must demonstrate that they have completed some form of Child Safety training. Ideally, this would be something like a certificate that was awarded either as part of their CPD or as a mandatory requirement of the business/organisation they work with.
If you have not yet completed training, we do have available an online 30-minute course that provides a certificate upon completion. You can access the training through the Health Learning Online system.
Here are some general instructions for accessing the training:
- On the right-hand side of the page, it asks you to create account.
- If you do not have an account, follow the instructions on the screen.
- If you already have an account, enter your login details.
- Once you are logged in, search ‘Child Safeguarding’ in the search box and it will take you to the course.
- After you select the course, scroll down to ‘Student Module’ and choose this option.
- Select ‘The Fundamentals of Safeguarding Children and Young People Training’ and will open the training.
Once completed, you will receive a certificate. Please send a copy of your certificate to TAZREACH to be filed alongside your other compliance documentation.
TAZREACH Update
Farewell to Zack
TAZREACH has recently lost another member of our team, Zack, who has moved on to a new role within Homes Tasmania. Zack had been with the TAZREACH team for approximately 18 months and oversaw the Rural Health Outreach Fund (RHOF), tackling many challenges along the way and bringing fresh insights to the team.
We wish Zack all the best in his new role!
New members to TAZREACH
TAZREACH has completed recruitment activities to fill two roles within the team and hope to have two new members joining the team later this month.
TAZREACH will advise key stakeholders of new contacts for specific programs once details have been confirmed.
