Outpatients
The Department will periodically contact patients waiting for an outpatient clinic appointment via SMS, with a link to an electronic form. This is part of routine waitlist auditing to ensure patient details are up to date. If you receive this SMS, please update your details.
Services available in each region
Pathology LGH
Pathology is located on Level 2 of the LGH. The department can be accessed from within the hospital or through the Frankland Street entrance.
Medical Imaging LGH
Medical Imaging (Radiology) is located on Level 3 of the LGH, near the Department of Emergency Medicine.
Pharmacy LGH
The Pharmacy is located on Level 3 of the LGH, close to Main Reception at the Charles Street entrance.
Community Rapid Response Service (ComRRS)
GP led home based care for patients at risk of needing hospital admission provided by Nurse Practitioner, Community Nurses and other services in collaboration with the patient’s GP.
Pathology North West
Pathology is provided by North West Pathology. Information on collection centres and opening times are available on the North West Pathology website.
Medical Imaging North West
Provided by I-Med Radiology Network. Information on service locations and opening times located on the I-Med Radiology website.
Pharmacy North West
Pharmacy Services are provided from the North West Regional Hospital in Burnie and the Mersey Community Hospital in Latrobe.
Community Rapid Response Service (ComRRS)
GP led home based care for patients at risk of needing hospital admission provided by Nurse Practitioner, Community Nurses and other services in collaboration with the patient’s GP.
Pathology South
Pathology South is owned by Tasmanians and forms part of Pathology Services at the Royal Hobart Hospital. They are the only Tasmanian owned and run pathology service operating in and around Hobart.
Medical Imaging RHH
The Department of Medical Imaging comprises two major sections: Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. They are located on the Ground Floor, H Block of the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Pharmacy RHH
The Pharmacy Department provides services to inpatients, outpatients and wards of the Royal Hobart Hospital. Outpatient Pharmacy, who provide scripts for outpatients only, is located on the Level 1, Wellington Clinics.
