Northern Cancer Service
W.P. Holman Clinic – Launceston General Hospital (LGH)
The entrance to the W.P. Holman Clinic is off Frankland Street. The entrance is signed for both W.P. Holman Clinic and Parking. The allocated W.P. Holman Clinic patient car park is on the right hand side. The clinic provides parking permits for patients during treatment. We are not able to provide parking permits for doctors appointments.
The clinic entrance is located opposite the car park entrance. Alternative parking is also available in other car parks around the hospital (fees apply) and street parking (time limits apply).
If you are coming to the clinic from the LGH front entrance, please ask the friendly staff at front reception for directions or go along the main level 3 corridor to the lifts on the right-hand side. Take the lift down to level 1. Come out of the lift and turn right, follow the corridor to the W.P. Holman Clinic glass sliding doors on the right-hand side.
Wheel chairs are available if needed, please ask at the reception desk. Please phone if you require any further assistance with getting to the clinic and parking.
Mersey Oncology-Medical Day Procedure Unit – Mersey Community Hospital (MCH)
Parking at the Mersey Community Hospital is free in all areas. To get to the Day Oncology Unit, enter the hospital near the Emergency Department and use the lift to the right. Come up to level 1 where the Day Oncology Unit is located. Please phone the Day Oncology Unit if you would like further support.
North West Cancer Centre – North West Regional Hospital (NWRH)
Patient parking at the NWRH is on the right-hand side as you turn in to the hospital complex off Brickport Road. The North West Cancer Centre is located inside the NWRH, the entry for the Cancer Centre is to the left of the main reception. The Radiation Oncology Unit is located on the ground floor, through the glass sliding doors. To get to the Day Treatment or Chemotherapy Unit, use the lift near the radiation oncology entrance, to the left of reception. Take the lift to level 2, the lift opens to the oncology reception front desk. Wheel chairs are available if needed. Please phone if you require any further assistance with getting here and parking.
Royal Hobart Hospital
The nearest car parks are the Argyle Street Car Park, opposite the hospital’s Argyle Street entrance and the Market Place Car Park, located opposite the hospital in Collins Street. Both provide day and overnight parking for a fee.
The RHH has an agreement with the Argyle Street Carpark to reduce the daily rate for patients and families if the car remains overnight. Please speak to your Social Worker to obtain further information on accessing this rate.
