Health consumers
The Department of Health works with health consumers who volunteer their time to become part of its Consumer and Community Engagement Council (CECC) and/or consumer working groups.
We welcome expressions of interest from individuals and group members from within our community who are genuinely interested in improving our organisation.
Consumer Community Engagement Council
The Tasmanian Health Service (THS) has three Consumer Community Engagement Councils (CCEC). They provide a community view into the delivery of health care services in the North, Northwest and South. The Council represents a cross section of the community. This provides the opportunity for a variety of people to have a say about how health services could be delivered to improve the health experience for people.

Consumer Representative Volunteers
Our consumer representatives are volunteers. They can be patients (past or present), clients and/or relatives or carers. They help us by sharing their experiences, opinions and ideas for improvement.
