TAZREACH Staff Update
Zack Dwyer
In February 2023, the TAZREACH team welcomed a new member to the team, Zack Dwyer.
Zack has spent the last four weeks learning about the different aspects of TAZREACH and will be responsible for overseeing the Rural Health Outreach Fund (RHOF) over the next couple of years with assistance from existing team members.
If you wish to contact Zack, his email address and phone number have been added to the contact us table at the bottom of this newsletter.
Management Changes
The TAZREACH team is currently progressing through an internal structure change whereby our team will be relocating from the Health Planning team to the Strategic Purchasing and Funding team in the Department of Health.
This is technically a line management change only and should not have any impact on the day-to-day business of TAZREACH. However, while we work through any delegation and account access changes over the next month, we would be grateful if providers could ensure that submitted claims are for single visits only, or below $5 500 (incl. GST) where possible, to prevent any delays in approvals and processing.
The TAZREACH office will remain at the CH Smith Building in Launceston.
2022-2023 Annual Review and Planning for 2023-2024
The TAZREACH team has this week begun to contact service providers, service hosts and other key contacts to setup annual review consultations for services that have received funding since 1 July 2022.
Information derived from the annual review will be used to inform planning for 2023-2024 for our outreach funding programs, with consultations aimed to be completed via face-to-face, video or phone meetings, with the option to provide feedback via email if your capacity is limited.
We appreciate your ongoing support and involvement with this activity, and we will continue to contact stakeholders over the coming week if you haven’t already heard from us.
Non-TAZREACH Survey for Healthcare Workers: Supporting Choice for Cervical Screening
Are you a GP, nurse, or practice manager?
We'd love to know what you think about offering self-collection for cervical screening. We want to know how it is going (or not!) for you and your practice. Love it, hate it, or still unsure? We want to hear from you!
Researchers from the University of Melbourne and The Daffodil Centre invite clinical and non-clinical healthcare workers to take part in a short survey about cervical screening and self-collection.
It doesn’t matter whether you have previous experience offering self-collection.
You could win one of four $200 vouchers for Red Balloon!
Access the survey here to find out more and complete the survey before the 1st of April 2023.
