Tasmanian Eating Disorder Service
The Tasmanian Eating Disorder Service (TEDS) is an eating disorder treatment service in development in Hobart. It is funded by the Federal Government’s Community Health and Hospitals Program (CHHP) project. TEDS will have a high‑level model of care based on input provided by:
- people with lived experience of an eating disorder
- mental health providers
- allied health clinicians
- medical practitioners
- primary care
- Butterfly Foundation
- National Eating Disorders Collaboration.

How to access our service
- You can refer yourself or someone that you are concerned about to the Access Mental Health - Helpline on 1800 332 388 (free call)
- This is a free, confidential phone service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Access Mental Health is operated by skilled and experienced mental health professionals
Healthcare professionals
- Healthcare professionals can refer directly through to the Access Mental Health – Helpline or by completing the TEDS Referral Form
