What is prostate cancer?

Prostate Cancer occurs when abnormal cells develop in the prostate. Prostate cancer is generally a slow growing disease and most men with low grade prostate cancer live for many years without symptoms or without it spreading and becoming life-threatening. Appropriate individual management is the key.

• Community Continence Service provides support for:
  • bladder retraining
  • pelvic floor rehabilitation
  • urinary catheter related care
  • containment /management advice and access
  • you can access this service by:

    • a friend of family member can contact on your behalf, with your consent or
    • a doctor or health care worker can contact us on your behalf, with your consent.
