Australian teletrial program
The Australian Teletrial Program (Teletrials) uses telehealth and the establishment of satellite sites to facilitate access to innovative clinical trials for Australians living in regional, rural, and remote areas by negating the need for travel. The teletrials program aims to improve equality in access to healthcare and close the gap in health outcomes by building a more interconnected clinical trials system across Australia.
The teletrials program is supported by the Australian Government Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) and Tasmania is a key participant in the project. The Regional Clinical Coordinating Centre (RCC) for Tasmania is located within the Department of Health Research Governance Office.
For more information on Teletrials, or to discuss partnerships with Tasmanian researchers please contact the RCCC at [email protected].
