Child Health and Parenting

About Us

The Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) provides child health and parenting information, support, assessment and advice.  Clinical services include information related to breastfeeding and nutrition, sleep and settling, growth and development screening and assessment.  We work in partnership with families of children 0-5 years of age and aim to enhance the health and wellbeing of all young children in Tasmania, through supporting their parents to understand their child’s growth and development needs.

With our primary health focus on growth and developmental pathways, it is not recommended that children who are unwell, or not functioning as they would usually, attend our clinics.  If you or your child are unwell please let us know prior to the scheduled appointment so that we can work with you to reschedule your appointment.  To contact CHaPS please call 1300 064 544.
