Creating an eReferral quick guide

eReferrals are a way to send secure, electronic referral communication between primary health care providers, hospitals, specialists and allied health practitioners. eReferrals are powered by HealthLink Smartforms which is seamlessly integrated into existing general practice clinical software packages.

Best Practice

1. Open the Letter Editor with the patient file and click on the HealthLink icon.
2. Create a new eReferral by selecting the blank white page icon.
3. Click on Tasmanian Health Service under Referred Services.
4. Highlight the service you want and click Continue in the top right corner.

Medical Director

1. Click on the HealthLink tab in the patient file.
2. Create a new eReferral by selecting the New Form icon.
3. Click on Tasmanian Health Service under Referred Services.
4. Highlight the service you want and click Continue in the top right corner.
