Information Requested
An application for assessed disclosure of information was made pursuant to the Right to Information Act 2009 (‘the Act’), was received by the Department of Health on 2 October 2024 and accepted on 8 October 2024.
The information applied for was:
- A breakdown of travel, accommodation and incidental costs of the delegation to UK for a recruitment drive for health professionals in September 2023.
- Since 17 September 2023, the number of UK nurses, doctors and allied health professionals who have commenced employment in the Department of Health.
Time taken to make this decision
The applicant, pursuant to section 15(4)(a) of the Act, agreed to grant an extension on the application for assessed disclosure. The public authority apologises for the delay in processing this application.
Decision
The application for assessed disclosure of information has resulted in the following information being released:
- Recruitment based on commencements from the United Kingdom; and
- Travel expenses for the UK delegation by the Department of Health in September 2023, broken down to airfares, accommodation, and incidentals.
