When a patient experienced a panic attack at the Royal Hobart Hospital overnight, Registered Nurse Pam stepped up to comfort her.
Her compassion and kindness made such a positive difference that the patient nominated her for a DAISY award, which acknowledges exceptional professional and person-centred care.
The patient reported, “Pam was very kind in her communication, provided reassurance and kind words.”
In particular, the patient was comforted by the caring way Pam spoke with her and was very grateful for this attention in a busy care area.
Congratulations Pam and thank you for all that you do for Tasmanian patients!
DAISY nominations can be submitted by patients, family, visitors, or colleagues. If you would like to nominate a Nurse or Midwife for their exceptional service, you can do so via email to: [email protected]
