Youth Health Services provide a range of free health services and programs for young people aged 12 to 24 years in Tasmania. Our team includes youth health nurses, allied health professionals and support staff who are experienced in working with young people.
We provide information, support, advocacy, and referral for anything related to health and wellbeing, including:
- issues at home, school or work
- relationships
- mental health
- sexual health
- alcohol and other drugs
We can also help with:
- the cost of health items
- free condoms
- free pregnancy testing and support
- practical support like getting a Medicare Card
- linking you with other services
Groups and programs
We provide education and information to groups of young people to build on their skills, knowledge and confidence to make healthy choices. These programs are run from our service, in schools, colleges and in the community.
The sessions aim to promote health and wellbeing in an informed, fun and flexible way. We work with organisations to ensure our sessions are engaging, youth friendly and meet the needs of the young people attending.
