Pre-referral work-up

History

All referrals should comply to the outpatient information for clinicians page.referral standards and include in particular:

• Voiding issues of hesitancy, poor stream/flow, incomplete emptying, post-void dribbling, and incontinence
• Storage issues of frequency, nocturia, urgency, urge incontinence
• Also haematuria
• Recurrent UTI

Tests

• MSU micro and culture
• USS urinary tract
• PSA
• U&Es
• Voiding flow rate
• International Prostate Symptom Score
