Online training can help to increase your confidence in:
- understanding nutrition needs of older people
- knowing what questions to ask older people to help identify nutrition issues
- how to best support someone who is at risk of malnutrition
- knowing what resources are available to help support older people to eat well.
Free courses
Nutrition for older people
Learn about the nutrition needs of older people, common nutrition issues and how to manage them.
Malnutrition in older people
Practice using resources and tools to screen for malnutrition and reduce malnutrition risk.
Start online training
- Create a Health Learning Online account
- Go to the ‘Community and Cultural Care’ folder.
- Select the course title to begin.

- The training takes about one hour to complete.
- You can break it up into shorter sections.
- You will receive a certificate when you finish.
