North West Cancer Centre Gets Gowned Up

Sue King, founder of “Splash and Chat”, a cancer support group, presents Dave Gration, Chief Radiation Therapist at the North West Cancer Centre with 25 new patient gowns.

Community clubs and “Splash and Chat”, a cancer support group, have united with members from the Burnie Inner Wheel Club to sew 25 unique patient gowns, which are used during patients’ treatment. The gowns are more like a dressing gown than the traditional generic hospital gowns. The gowns are all unique and will go a long way to making visits by those coming for Radiation Therapy more personalised. It is amazing what can be achieved when community groups unite and work together to benefit others.
