Coronavirus update

Since 6pm last night, Tasmania has confirmed three cases of coronavirus.

This brings the State’s tally to 74.

Two of the cases are women, one is a man. One is from Southern Tasmania and two are from Northern Tasmania. One is aged in their 30s, one is in their 40s and one is in their 50s.

One of the cases was employed by a tour company that hosted two interstate people who travelled in Tasmania last month before being diagnosed with coronavirus when they returned home.

Further information about the other two cases will be made available later.

The situation with coronavirus is changing regularly. People can stay up to date by visiting the Department of Health coronavirus website www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au or the Australian Government Department of Health website at www.health.gov.au.
